Title:
Wolf Tales Recording with Lu Peng and Manuela Ouraga: FLE400, 23 October 2018
Description:
This recording was conducted as part of FLE 400: American English pronunciation for International Students with Professor Mary Michaels Estrada in October 2018, in the D.H. Hill Jr. Library. Lu Peng, a Biomanufacturing master’s student, sits down with Manuela Ouraga, who studies Business Administration as an undergraduate, to discuss their first experiences of N.C. State. Peng came from China with her boyfriend, a Ph.D. candidate at N.C. State, and notes the differences in academic environment in American versus Chinese schools, and reflects on her life at home. Ouraga is from the Ivory Coast, but is technically a transfer student from France, through the SKEMA Business School. She has involved herself actively on campus, through the Women in Business Club and the African Student Union. The two describe their first days in Raleigh, both of which included a trip to student-favored fast food restaurants.
