This recording was conducted in the Talley Student Union on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, at the NCSU GLBT Center’s 10th Anniversary Celebration. Israel J. Pattison discusses his arrival at NC State in 1997, studying Computer Science, witnessing the challenges of creating a GLBT presence on campus, working for the Technician newspaper, the murder of Matthew Shepard, not coming out during his time as a student, progress for the GLBT community at NC State today, and the value of the NCSU GLBT Center.
