Description:
This recording was conducted in Harrelson Hall on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, at a "Last Look at Harrelson" event hosted by the Wake County Alumni Society. The event was organized as a farewell tour of Harrelson Hall before its demolition in 2016. In the recording, Mitchell (‘04) discusses: taking classes in Harrelson Hall; challenges and functional issues of the building, including windowless rooms and inconveniently located women’s restroom; positive memories of professors who taught classes in Harrelson, including Akram Khater and Ana Gray; and appreciating the mid century modern design of Harrelson and its place as an iconic building on campus.
