This recording was conducted in the Military and Veteran Resource Center in Witherspoon Student Center on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, as part of the “Our State, Our Voice” Veterans Story Project. Jacqueline Knowles discusses her experiences: serving as a military veterinary technician, as an interrogator, and as a civil affairs in the US Army (2001-2009) and in the Army Reserves (2009 to the present); enlisting in the military one month after the attacks on September 11, 2001; and graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education at NC State in May 2017 to pursue a career in teaching.
