- This recording was conducted in the Talley Student Union on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, at the 2018 Sisterhood Day program. Kat Kirby (Class of 2019) discusses her pride in being a student at NC State, and expresses that the campus feels like home for her. Kirby notes her gratitude toward her professors in the Women’s and Gender Studies department in shaping her perception and responsibility within the wider community. Kirby also shares her experiences volunteering with InterAct and the Peer Educators program, and the efforts she makes as an activist. Kirby advocates for deepened work around sexual violence prevention, and diversity and inclusion work; and shares her hopes for the future. Wolf Tales: Capturing Voices of the Pack: As part of the NC State University Libraries Special Collections Research Center, the Wolf Tales project collects the stories of the NC State community, past and present. NC State community members are invited to share memories of the events, people, and places that shaped their time at NC State. Stories are preserved and shared with current and future generations, to tell the history of NC State University through the voices of the people who lived it.
