Description:

This recording was conducted for the Young Alumni Leadership Council, a group within the Wilson College of Textiles, in November 2018. A Textile Engineering major from the class of 2014, Joe DiCesare is a Footwear Material Developer at Nike. Interested in math and engineering principles, DiCesare entered N.C. State and the Wilson College of Textiles on a Centennial Scholarship, and was involved with the Tompkins Textile Student Council, served as President of the Textile Engineering Society, and was an Ambassador for the College of Textiles to Student Government. He says that he carries the encouragement and support he received in school into his professional practice, and hopes others understand the importance of maintaining a relationship with the College that did so much to shape them.
