- Description:
- The data from 20 field trials of nitrogen (N) fertilization in the South Carolina Coastal Plain and Virginia Piedmont regions were summarized. The study plots were sorted by site index, initial stocking and rate of nitrogen applied. Volume growth of the fertilized plots was compared to the unfertilized check plots. The responses were divided into three groups: No Response; Marginal Response; and Adequate Response.
