Description:
A nitrogen X thinning study was established in 1974 in three separate 14-year-old old-field loblolly pine plantations in the Virginia Piedmont. Average site index at base age 25 was 70. Four levels of N (N-0, N-50, N-100, and N-150) were applied to plots which were split, with half of each plot being thinned to 70% stocking and the other half remaining unthinned.
