Title:
N and P Factorial in 20-Year Old Loblolly Pine Plantation - Fifth Year Results, 1973 (Charlottesville Research Center Research Report No. 52)
Description:
Nitrogen fertilizer at 150 pounds per acre (lbs./A) produced a significant growth response in an 18-year old unthinned stand and a 20-year old thinned stand of loblolly pine the second, third, and fifth year after fertilization. The 300 lbs./A of nitrogen did not stimulate growth more than the 150 lbs./A rate. Phosphorus application at rates of 100 and 200 lbs./A alone and in combination with the 150 and 300 lbs./A rates of nitrogen did not stimulate growth more than the nitrogen alone at 150 lbs./A.
