Description:
A research study was established in the spring of 1975 to determine the effect of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer upon loblolly pine plantations on clay soils in West Virginial. Previous studies with Virginia pine failed to respond to fertilizer amendments while loblolly pine has responded well in areas outside of the West Virginia. The purpose was to advise West Virginia Woodlands on the potential of response to fertilizer in their pine plantations.
