Title:
Seven Year Results of the 1973 Nitrogen + Phosphorus Study (Information Sheet No. SC-16)
Description:
Greenhouse studies indicated that there was a potential for increasing phosphorus (P) fertilizer response of pines by adding nitrogen (N) with phosphorus. One study showed a 54% increase in growth from the addition of P, but a complete fertilizer increased growth 164%. Another study showed that a complete fertilizer did not increase seedling growth more than nitrogen plus phosphorus (N+P).
