Title:
Biennial Nitrogen Applications (Information Sheet No. SC-13)
Description:
A study was conducted to determine the period of peak response to nitrogen fertilization in a pine plantation and to determine if repeated applications of nitrogen would result in continued response. An ice storm struck the study 2 years after establishment. Half of the plots had to be abandoned; the other half were severely damaged but were retained. Measurements after 10 years indicated no significant differences among the various nitrogen treatments. This study is inconclusive and is completed with this report.
