Description:
A study was conducted on the Hutson Unit in Georgetown County, S.C. to test the response of newly planted pines to four phosphatic fertilizers and to two rates of application. The sources of phosphorus (P) tested were ground rock phosphate (GRP), acidulated rock phosphate (ARP), normal superphosphate (NSP) and triple superphosphate (TSP). Each of the materials was applied at 25 and 50 lbs. of P per acre. There was an unfertilized check treatment.
