Description:
After 2 years, average total height of phosphate treated and bedded loblolly seedlings on a Bayboro soil are 1.6 feet, or 73% taller, than unfertilized check trees. Soil and foliar phosphorus levels show agreement with soil treatment levels. Trees responded the same amount in height growth whether treated with 25 or 50 pounds per acre elemental phosphorus.
