Title:
Second Year Response to Production Phosphorous Fertilization (Summerville Land Management Research Center, Research Report No. 50)
Description:
Plots were established by Forest Research in 1968 and 1969 to evaluate the response of Southern Woodlands' plantings to production application of 250 lbs. per acre of triple superphosphate before planting. A 14% average height response was found for all plots combined. After two years areas classified as "Needs More Than P" using the Davey criteria responded 46% in additional height growth, and areas classified for an expected "Limited Response" did not respond.
