Title:
At-Time-of-Planting Fertilization of Loblolly Pine Plantations on Selected Land Classification Map Units in Southern Region (Forest Science Laboratory Forest Ecosystems Research, Research Report No. 224)
Description:
Twenty-eight fertilizer trials were established over an eight-year period on selected soil map units in Southern Region to verify and refine fertilizer recommendations as indicated by the Land Classification (LC) System. This series of tests focused on the response of loblolly pine to phosphorus (P) alone or in combination with nitrogen (N) applied at planting on previously unfertilized sites. The soil map units chosen for study were ones that did not clearly fit into a responsive or non-responsive interpretative group.
