Title:
1972 Application of a Complete Fertilizer at the Time of Planting Fifth Year Results (Charlottesville Research Center, Research Report No. 67)
Description:
Fertilization with a blend of ammonium nitrate, triple superphosphate, and muriate of potash applied below ground at the time of planting stimulated a significant growth response in loblolly pine with the 100N-50P-50K pounds per acre (112N-56P-56K kg/ha) rate of elemental material. Five years after fertilization, the loblolly pine receiving the 100N-50P-50K lbs./A (112N-56P-56K kg/ha) maintained a significant growth advantage over the unfertilized trees.
