Title:
1972 Application of a Complete Fertilizer at Time of Planting (Charlottesville Research Center, Research Report No. 60)
Description:
Application of a blend of ammonium nitrate, triple superphosphate, and muriate of potash applied below ground produced a significant growth response in loblolly pine at the 100N-50P-50K (112N-56P-56K kg/ha) rate. Planting of the seedlings in the subsoil slit with the fertilizer did not affect survival. Competition was evident along the subsoil slits, but was not severe enough to be detrimental to the trees.
