Title:
Green Weight of Loblolly Pine Trees in the Piedmont and Sandhills of South Carolina (Winnsboro Research Center, Research Report No. 35)
Description:
The use of a green weight scale for purchasing wood has required the development of tree weight tables. Loblolly pine trees were weighed throughout the Piedmont and Sandhills of South Carolina to meet this requirement. Green weight formulae were calculated and tree weight tables developed by 1-inch dbh classes and 16-foot log and half-log height classes to minimum top diameters of 3 and 7 inches outside bark. This report describes the sampling and analysis, and present the weight tables.
