- This interview for the Student Leadership Initiative was conducted at Woodrow “Woody” Taylor’s home in McLeansville, NC. Taylor grew up on a tobacco farm near Kinston, NC. He was the forty-second vice president of the North Carolina State University Student Government. Prior to that, he served as secretary of Student Government. He graduated from NC State in 1963 with a degree in agricultural economics. After graduation, he had a long career in the United States Air Force.
