- This interview for the Student Leadership Initiative was conducted in a conference at D.H. Hill Library in Raleigh, NC. Evelyn Reiman has served as a mentor to NC State student leaders since 1979, when she became the director of new student orientation. In 1984, she was promoted to the position of Director of Student Development and, later, Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs. She retired January 1, 2012, after 32 years of service to NC State.
