Moore describes growing up in Durham, NC and his parents' involvement with the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People, his decision to come to NC State and changing his major from engineering to speech communication, his relationship with Chancellor John Caldwell, campus dorm life and racial harrassment, working for WKNC, getting involved with student government, the campus reaction to the Vietnam War, the Society of Afro-American Culture (SAAC), physical plant protests and employees, life as a graduate student with a family at Ohio University, managing an American Forces Radio and Television station while stationed in Guam, his career working in radio, and becoming Director of Communications at Fayetteville State University.
