- This interview for the Student Leadership Initiative was conducted in the D. H. Hill Library on the North Carolina State University campus in Raleigh, NC. William Jackson, a native of Huntersville, NC, graduated from North Carolina State University, where he served as editor-in-chief of the college newspaper, the Technician (1961-1962). After graduation in 1962, he served in the U.S. Army for two years, after which he had a thirty-seven year career at IBM.
