This interview was conducted at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library of North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, North Carolina. In the interview Ms. Emery discusses: her work on academic spaces and at Yale University; her first experience working with Susan Nutter and NCSU Libraries, designing the interiors for the Moreland Conference Room during the D.H. Hill Jr. Library renovations; being asked to design the interior spaces for the James B. Hunt Jr. Library; the design, planning, and construction process for the Hunt Library; selecting chairs for the Library; reactions to the Library from students and visitors; and Emery’s CHAIRHUNT book.
