This folder contains correspondence between Professors Giles and Weldon and representatives from the U. S. Congress and the Agricultural Research Service. These letters, along with the reports and proposals included in this record, were part of the professors’ efforts to obtain federal funding to establish a regional pesticide research program at North Carolina State College. Also included in the folder are documents pertaining to the U. S. Department of Agriculture’s budget, articles about pesticide research, and minutes from the National Canners Association's Pest Control Equipment Conference.
