Description:
This folder contains articles, reports, correspondence, and memorandums pertaining to the financial, environmental, and technical aspects of pesticides and their application on various crops, particularly cotton and tobacco. Many of these documents specifically deal with the efforts of Professors Giles and Weldon to secure federal funding for pesticide research. Additionally, the folder contains copies of a report, “Research Needs Relating to Agricultural Equipment,” which was compiled by the Committee on Agricultural Equipment of the Agricultural Board of the National Research Council.
