Carmichael Recreation Center construction
Description:
The Carmichael Recreation Center opened in 2007 and is named for William Donald Carmichael (1900-1961). Carmichael was Vice-President and Financial Officer of the consolidated three college system in North Carolina during the 1940s. He supported many building projects on the North Carolina State University campus. The gymnasium that the recreation center is attached to was built in 1961.
