- Architectural note:
- The building's exterior blends the Shingle and Gothic Revival styles. The church's surrounding complex was rebuilt after a 1916 fire, but the church itself remained undamaged.

- New York benefactor Eva Cochran provided the money to build the church. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
