Provenance note:: African American Episcopalian congregation, first owner.
Architectural note:: The building's exterior blends the Shingle and Gothic Revival styles. The church's surrounding complex was rebuilt after a 1916 fire, but the church itself remained undamaged.
Historical note:: New York benefactor Eva Cochran provided the money to build the church. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
