Provenance note:
Stephen Johnson (merchant), first owner. Julius and Lula Hubbard, second owners, made additions to the original structure.
Architectural note:
The house was expanded in 1885 to include a one story rear ell and a latticed front porch with a sheaf-of-wheat balustrade.
Historical note:
The structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
