Provenance note:
Robert T. and Mary Hinton Alston Cheek (planters), first owners.
Architectural note:
The tripartite house, built in the early nineteenth century, features a porch and additions from a restoration in the late twentieth century.
Historical note:
Cheek owned over 2400 acres and 20 slaves by 1812. The structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
