Provenance note:
The estate was built for Count de Choiseul and was remodeled at the turn of the twentieth century for the Norton sisters of Louisville, Kentucky. The terraced gardens were designed by the firm of Frederick Law Olmstead.
Architectural note:
The two-story house is constructed of uncoursed granite and has a small classical portico.
