Architectural note:
The chapel is a simplified version of the James Episcopal Church in Wilmington. A Gothic Church designed by architect Hobart Upjohn is located next to the chapel.
Historical note:
The structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The university chaplain, William Mercer Green, contributed to the construction efforts.
