Architectural note:
The school is done in the Tudor-style, which was typical of school architecture of the era and exhibits brick walls trimmed in stone and an ornate entry pavilion. The new building was given many modern amenities, including a swimming pool, auditorium, gymnasium, and telephones in every classroom.

The school is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
