Building: Loray Cotton Mill (Gastonia, Gaston County, North Carolina)

Provenance note:
The mill was founded by John F. Love, George Gray and others and given a name from the combination of the names Love and Gray.
Architectural note:
The main portion of the mill rises six stories, with an eight-story tower.

After the mill's 1921 expansion, it was noted to be the largest textile mill in the South under a single roof.
