Architectural note:
This Gothic Revival house is L-shaped and exhibits numerous mass-produced details, including scalloped gables, brackets, kingposts, and blind dormers with scalloped vents. The work is similar to that found on houses across Shelby and throughout the county.

The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
