Provenance note:: Beverly Hall was built for John Bonner Blount (private banker) and was later expanded by William Badham (merchant). Later, the home belonged to Dr. Richard Dillard and his wife Mary Louisa Beverly Cross Dillard. The house then passed to their son, Dr. Richard Dillard, Jr.
Architectural note:: This two-story Federal house is the most elaborate in Edenton. When the structure was enlarged in the 1850s, Gothic Revival elements were added, including an arched doorway on the east side.
