Provenance note:
The house was built for Dr. Isaac Hall, who arrived from Scotland Neck around 1836. Between 1880 and 1918, Henry Armand London (journalisst and lawyer) occupied the house.
Architectural note:
This transitional Federal-Greek revival structure did not gain the Gothic Revival-style latticework porch until around 1856.
Historical note:
The Hall-London House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
