- Provenance note:
- Built by Solomon Warlick, a prosperous farmer and wagonmaker, built the house for himself and his wife, Barbara Warlick. During the Civil War, Warlick sold the property to Miles Huffman (farmer), who, in 1912, sold the house to William F. Hoffman.
- Architectural note:
- The house is constructed in a vernacular Federal style and rests on a mortared stone foundation. A majority of the exterior walls are weatherboarded, and the chimney is done in Flemish-bond brickwork. The interior of the house also exhibits fine Federal details. Numerous outbuildings are scattered across the property.
- Historical note:
- The house has remained virtually unchanged since the turn of the twentieth century. The farm is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
