Provenance: Lying near the border of Donoho and Saunders family lands, Longwood may have briefly been home to Romulus Saunders (congressman, judge, and minister to Spain). | Architectural Note: The currrent two-story, L-shaped plantation house began as a small Federal period home and was later expanded in the Greek Revival style with pedimented porticoes. This log tenant house is one of the additional structures that comprise the plantation complex. | Historical Note: Longwood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
