- Provenance note:
- Lying near the border of Donoho and Saunders family lands, Longwood may have briefly been home to Romulus Saunders (congressman, judge, and minister to Spain).
- Architectural note:
- The current two-story, L-shaped plantation house began as a small Federal period home and was later expanded in the Greek Revival style with pedimented porticoes.
