Provenance note:
John Henry Stevelie, first owner. Thomas Walton, second owner, sold the building in 1947 to Clarke Moulton and Elizabeth Avery, third owners.
Architectural note:
The house was expanded and remodeled in 1847 in the Greek Revival style, and includes Doric columns.
Historical note:
The structure was initially built in the Federal style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
