- Presbyterian congregation organized in 1767, first owner
- Historical note:
- The building is considered to be a standout among Piedmont Presbyterian churches in the Greek Revival style. The church housed one of seven sister colonial Scotch-Irish Presbyterian church congregations. Pastor Robert Hall Morrison became the founding president of Davidson College. The church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
