Matthew Moore (landowner), first owner.
Architectural note:
The building is one of the few houses outside of Salem that displays rural Moravian and Quaker architectural traditions. The home was altered in the twentieth century.
Historical note:
Alabama governor Gabriel Moore spent his childhood here. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Located off NC 66, 28 miles north of Winston-Salem.
