Provenance note:
German Reformed congregation established in 1837, first owner
Architectural note:
The arbor burned down in the late twentieth century, but was rebuilt to the original dimensions around 1990. The associated church was constructed in 1908.
Historical note:
The arbor provides the state's only example of the meeting ground tradition that existed among German descendants.
