Summer 2025 closure

The D. H. Hill Jr. Library will be closed beginning on Monday, May 5, 2025, for planned electrical work. The Special Collections Research Center is located in Hill Library, and will be closed for all appointments during this period. Special Collections can only make appointment requests until April 25th and after August 3, 2025. During the closure, Special Collections staff will be available to answer questions about our collections, if they are accessible, and to support researchers using digital materials for their research. Architectural note:
The home features exposed beaded ceiling joists on the first floor and split-board lathes woven in the wattle style. The building was restored in 1995.
Historical note:
The structure was moved from its original site in 1944 to its present location near Highway 70. The building's construction date is unknown.
