Provenance: The house was built for Jule Gilmer Korner, an interior decorator and painter and was enlarged to its present size upon his marriage to Polly Masten. | Architectural Note: The house exhibits a tall gabled roof with Italianate corbeling and has multiple stories of rooms with varying heights. The house cotains numerous decorative features, such as carved human and animal figures and ceiling murals by German artist Cesar Milch. There are 20 fireplaces in the home, and each is different. | Historical Note: The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
