Building: Ramsaur, Jacob Grinding Mill (Gaston County, North Carolina)

Built:
State:
North Carolina
Provenance note:
Jacob Ramsaur (millwright), first owner
Historical note:
The structure originally used a burr stone to mill wheat into flour of an off-white color. Later, the mill was installed with a new roller to create pure white flour. The delineator's drawings show the corn mill grinding process, as the mill's flour mechanisms had been removed at the time of his work.
