- Historical note:
- The delineator indicates that the cabin was built in the mid-nineteenth century near Skyland, and was moved to a privately owned farm on the Biltmore Estate. Once a house, the structure has also functioned as a barn. The cabin had extensive renovations, including a new roof, new windows, and new floors. In 1952, the cabin was incorporated as a unit into another dwelling of similar construction.
