- Description Note: Provenance information comes from the delineator's research notes.
- Provenance note:
- Charles Woodard, a planter, was the first owner. Henry Thomas Wall, a slave master, was the first resident. Will Wall was the second second owner.
- Architectural note:
- The structure features construction of hewn logs joined at the corners by diamond notching.
- Historical note:
- The home dates to the early nineteenth century. The delineator suggests that the home was used by the overseer on the Woodard plantation, which ceased functioning in 1865 upon the burning of the plantation's main home by Union soldiers.
