- Ron Evans, shown here touching home plate, was a regular long-ball threat. In the championship game of the ACC Tournament, Evans hit a home run in the bottom of the ninth with two out and two men on base, producing an 8-6 win over Clemson, sending the team to its second consecutive NCAA District III playoffs.
